Norwich church raises funds for cyclone victims
A local Norfolk church Living Waters Pentecostal Fellowship has set up a an online funding page to help victims of Cyclone Idai in Zimbabwe.
Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi were hit by cyclone Idai at the weekend and this has left over 1000 people dead and with thousands believed to be missing. The areas affected are rural communities and are in desperate need of basics like water, food, clothing, blankets and shelter.
Living Waters Pentecostal Fellowship, which is based in Norwich and led by Rev. Tapiwa Kundoro from Zimbabwe is responding to the crisis. Rev Tapiwa said, “this one of the worst cyclones in generations and nation of Zimbabwe has been struggling over the years. Any support people can give to help people in Zimbabwe will make a difference. Many have been left homeless without anywhere to stay and not knowing where their next meal is going to come from or where to sleep. Thank you for standing with Zimbabwe in her hour of need.”
