Norfolk singer returns with one-day music festival

Pax Festival, an intimate one-day festival hosted by Norfolk singer Alexandra Hutton will return this July to Thorington Theatre in Suffolk.

Back by popular demand, the second annual Pax Festival will take place on Saturday July 6 at Thorington Theatre, Suffolk.

Headlining this year’s festival will be indie singer JERUB, who performed at the King’s Coronation last year with DJ Pete Tong. Other names include singer-songwriter Henry Grace, amusing wordsmith Josh Flowers, songstress Alex Kate, local artist Leon O’Leary, and BBC Introducing one-to-watch Sophie The Great.

Alexandra said: ""I feel so privileged to have JERUB headlining Pax Fest this year, he is making waves in the UK music scene and recently performed live on Comic Relief. His voice and lyrics are mesmerising, drenched in soul and hope. Before too long I know he will be performing in stadiums. Henry Grace, is also an artist that you will have an "I was there" moment. He truly is a talented songwriter and singer."

There will also be a wine tasting workshop led by Flunder Wines founder Luke Flunder and circus themed classes in the woods hosted by artist Bella Franks.

The festival was held for the first time in 2023 at the outdoor theatre in the woodlands of Suffolk.

Alexandra Hutton, daughter of Rev Matthew Hutton, grew up in Norfolk and has settled back in the county after a time in London and California. She is a singer (Alex Kate) and runs a small record label called Pax Records

Alexandra said: “The label seeks to provide a platform for artists without holding them back with constraining contracts as I believe the best creativity comes out of freedom. Pax was born after I was offered a deal which went against my morals as a Christian, so although it was a large financial figure and a tempting offer, I walked away.”
