| | Sat 23 Mar 6:30pm | | | Passion Flowers
A concert by the Witchert Chorale, a visiting choir from Buckinghamshire, raising funds for the Friends of Christ Church, Eaton.
Music from Palestrina to Gershwin and beyond, for Passiontide and celebrating the flowers of Spring. With wine and canapes!
Christ Church, Eaton, is delighted to be hosting the Witchert Chorale, directed by David Quinn, to perform a fundraising concert on Saturday 23 rd March. The Chorale has raised over £50,000 for charity in their almost 20-year history, and Christ Church is grateful now to be included among their good causes.
The Witchert Chorale is a highly regarded choir from Haddenham in Buckinghamshire, where one of our parishioners, Alison Court, sang with them before she moved to Norwich. The concert on this occasion will reflect the season – the music of Passiontide, but also music celebrating the joyful flowers of Spring.
In everything it does, the Chorale aims to deliver both musical excellence and entertainment. The Chorale’s repertoire includes major works from Bach and Beethoven to Handel and Schutz, as well as shorter works by a variety of composers from the Renaissance to the twenty-first century. They sing everything from Tudor anthems and baroque cantatas, through to folk song arrangements and barber shop, jazz and gospel numbers.
Tickets £10 in advance from Carrie (07780 676837) or Catherine (01603 454622) or
online at witchert.org.uk
(£12 on the door) |

| | Wed 27 Mar 9:30am | | | It can be hard work being a parent as well as enjoyable, but it's even harder if our wellbeing isn't as good as it could be. Looking after our own wellbeing isn't a luxury but a necessity, so that we can be the best version of ourselves, for our children.
We have invited lots of agencies/organisations to come together, to bring their information and resources to one place, so that parents and carers can find out about the support that's available for them and their children & young people's mental health.
It will be a coffee morning style set up with free refreshments and toys out for little ones under 5.
We will have the option to try a mindfulness exercise or have a go at some simple yoga exercises.
All parents and carers invited.

| | Wed 27 Mar 7:00pm | | | Norwich Youth For Christ Showcase:
Hello, Gwil here,
I’m very excited for my first showcase, which is on the 27th of March, from 7pm until 9pm here at our offices, in the City Gates centre. Not just because we get to tell you about all we’re doing, but because I’m able to meet a lot of our supporters who make our work possible. Without you we wouldn’t be able to reach the young people, the unchurched, work along side churches or run our own youth groups like the Jam and Encounter.
As Norwich Youth for Christ we’re so grateful for your on going support. We can’t wait to tell you what’s happened over the past year. I personally can’t wait to tell you where we’re looking to be going in the next 12 months.
I look forward to hosting you and meeting you properly.
Please RSVP to office@norwichyfc.co.uk |

| | Fri 12 Apr 7:30pm | | | April Meeting with Kevin Roberts
Kevin was the Director of ReSource from April 2016 until his retirement in September 2021. He is still passionate about a ministry that is very close to his heart and is continuing in an active role as a ReSource Minister and Alongside Companion.
He is also learning some new rhythms of life in retirement and exploring what ministry will look like in this new season, with a fresh balance of taking in, giving out and being more available to Anne and his family. Kevin and Anne live in Shrewsbury and have three grown up children and six grandchildren, currently living in Thailand and the UK.
Kevin is Chair of the SOMA UK Trustees (ReSource’s overseas partner), the Simeons Trustee for the West Midlands and a speaker for The Filling Station. Kevin came to faith in Christ while studying history at Queens' College, Cambridge, where he also received his call to ordained ministry in the Church of England. He trained at St John's Nottingham and did his BA in Theology at the University of Nottingham before doing a Curacy at Beverley Minster.
Subsequent ministry took Kevin to Reading as Curate in Charge of St James', Woodley; then to Shrewsbury for eighteen years as Vicar of Meole Brace (for ten of which he was the Rural Dean of Shrewsbury, and for most of those years a Prebendary of Lichfield Cathedral); and then to Cumbria for seven years where he was Archdeacon of Carlisle and a Residentiary Canon of Carlisle Cathedral. In Carlisle Kevin was also the Deliverance Advisor for the Diocese and Chair of the Carlisle Diocesan Board of Education with responsibility for diocesan work with children and young people in the County, as well as leading the development of an internship programme and a fresh expression of church for young people, networked across Cumbria.
He led regular retreats at Rydal Hall. Kevin speaks of ministry as “an exhilarating ministry-ride”, and his heart remains firmly in local church leadership and a longing to see churches engaging with the Word and the Spirit.
