Norwich churches celebrate unity with Chain of Prayer
On Thursday, January 24 a special day of prayer will be held at Norwich Cathedral to celebrate Christian unity within the city, with Christians and churches of all denominations welcome to take part.

As part of the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, a special chain of prayer will be held in St Luke’s Chapel of Norwich Cathedral on Thursday, January 24, 10am-4pm

All Christian churches across Greater Norwich are warmly invited to participate either by leading a 15-minute slot or by dropping by anytime.

The Cathedral’s three Ecumenical Canons, Pastor Jon Norman of Soul Church, Rev Julian Pursehouse, Chair of the East Anglia Methodist District and Fr David Paul, Dean of the Roman Catholic Cathedral will also be participating in the event.

The theme of the event is ‘Only Justice’, using resources written for the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity by Christians in Indonesia based on Deuteronomy 16:18-20

Catherine Howe, Diocese of Norwich’s County Ecumenical Officer said: “Everyone will be most welcome to drop by at any point during the day to join in and support this initiative.”

The Chain of Prayer is an annual event organised by the Denominational Ecumenical Officers of Norfolk and Waveney Churches Together (NWCT).
