Ringsfield centre invites support for funding bid
Ringsfield Hall, the Christian activity centre near Beccles, has reached the final of a competition being run by Persimmon Homes to support children’s health and education.
The hall is run as a Christian centre, set in 14 acres of grounds which include a games field with football posts, a badminton court, two fire pits with canopies, woodland areas, meadow, garden, pasture with animals and wild areas for exploration and discovery.
The centre provides children and young people with outdoor residential opportunities. Activities relate to nature, care for the planet and very special care and respect for the physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of each child.
In reaching the final Ringsfield has already been awarded £5,000. It is now up against 31 other charitable organisations to win a first prize of £100,000, a second prize of £50,000 or a third prize of £20,000. The centre has been running for 50 years and it hopes that a prize could help secure the next 50 years of its programmes.
