The Magdalene Group are seeking to employ a Young People’s Outreach Worker for young people affected by sexual exploitation.
The Magdalene Group has been supporting people affected by sexual exploitation and coercion for 25 years and we have built an excellent reputation for engaging those hardest-to-reach.
We adopt a trauma-informed approach to engage those who have been harmed or those at risk of being harmed and support them to move on with their lives.
The purpose of this specialist role is to engage with and provide appropriate emotional and practical support to young people experiencing, or at risk of, sexual exploitation. The post-holder will work intensively with vulnerable young people in a trauma-informed way to safe-guard them and reduce risk of further exploitation. The post-holder will work within a multi-agency approach ensuring that at the heart of their safeguarding practice is a recognition of the young person’s voice.
Must have a sound understanding of the safe-guarding legal framework for young people and be confident in lone-working situations.
Salary: £20,860 FTE.
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week. Including some early morning, evening, and weekend working.
