Real life Monopoly game with Norwich Youth for Christ
Norwich Youth for Christ are challenging teams to take to the streets of Norwich in a life-size game of Monopoly - their first Noropoly Challenge - on Saturday, November 23.
On Saturday, November 23 teams of between 4-8 people will take to the streets of Norwich for a game of real-life monopoly, navigating their way around locations on a game board in the fastest time possible and taking part in challenges along the way.
The game, costing £5 per person to play, is Norwich Youth for Christ's first Noropoly (Norwich Monopoly) Challenge, aiming to raise funds for the Christian youth charity.
Sarah Ballard, from Norwich Youth for Christ said: “Teams should arrive at The Mousehold Hub on Mousehold Avenue at 9.15am for registration and briefing. Teams will be given a game board and some time to look at maps and plan their route. They will then be set off at 5 minute intervals and given two hours to reach as many locations on the game as possible on foot. At each location, the team must take a selfie and additional challenges will be sent throughout for bonus points.”
“Anyone can play! Teams with children under the age of 10 will be allowed extra time to allow for smaller legs.”
Teams will return to Mousehold Hub for refreshments whilst scores are added up and prizes awarded.
Booking forms are available by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and teams can book in by November 16. On booking teams will be allocated a "playing piece". Sarah said: “Extra points are available for teams wearing fancy dress themed around your playing piece. Please also bring your own team mascot on the day.”
At least one person in the team must be over 18 with a fully charged mobile phone in play during the game.
