Data Administrator & Database Projects Coordinator

Do you love data?! Would you enjoy working with databases and do you have excellent problem-solving and communication skills?
 

Following a retirement, we’re looking for someone to join our communications team who will manage and administer our database, as well as plan and coordinate new database projects and development moving forward.

You will need to have a keen eye for detail ensuring all data is accurately recorded.  Proactively scoping new database requirements is also a key part of the role, alongside coordinating the troubleshooting of issues.  You will liaise with colleagues as well as technical partners and developers.

Additionally, you will act as Data Protection Officer, advising staff and churches about GDPR (with the support of national GDPR guidance) and ensuring our policies, processes and documentation are effective.  Significant work towards GDPR compliance has already been undertaken, and your role is to ensure we remain compliant.

This full-time role is based at Diocesan House in Easton, near Norwich (NR9 5ES).

Key details:

  • 35 hours per week (Mon - Fri, 9am – 5pm)
  • Salary: Band D (Starting at £21,921)
  • Contributory pension plan; health care cash-plan (after 6 months)
  • 25 days holiday per annum, plus statutory bank holidays and discretionary Christmas holiday
  • Start date: As soon as possible
