Ringsfield Hall hosts community-building festival
A mini-festival to inspire community building activism from the grass roots will be held at Ringsfield Hall from June 15 – 17, with an exclusive discount for Network Norfolk readers.
Roots & Branches is a weekend of talks, workshops, events and gatherings to provide tools and inspiration for anyone who wants to bring positive change to their community.
Eco-activity centre Ringsfield Hall on the Norfolk/Suffolk border is founded on Christian principles.
Centre Director Simon Paylor said, “Many of us have a deep desire to be part of a thriving community. In the present political climate we recognise the opportunities and the challenges involved in creating change from the bottom up.”
The Roots and Branches event aims to equip people to invest in sustainable community initiatives – whether big or small - that help us all become better connected.
The weekend is designed to resource those who are community activists, so it is of particular interest for people who are already reaching into their community, or would like to start doing so. Simon said, “We're keen for those who dream and scheme of community projects to share and inspire each other.”
Guests will be hosted in 14.5 acres of woodland and meadow at Ringsfield Hall EcoActivity Centre, with options for camping or different types of room in the Hall.
Tickets are restricted to 80 people to facilitate better conversations and to ensure we learn from each other. Come and experience discussion, inspiring stories and case studies, music and song, and campfires in the woods. Network Norfolk readers can receive a 25% discount on booking made up until May 21. Use discount code RB25 when you make your booking.
Festival Tickets are £110pp for the weekend including full catering and access to all programmed events. Accommodation is an additional cost, ranging from £20 pp for weekend camping, through to £35 pp for the weekend for same gender dormitory rooms, up to £100 for 2 people sharing a double or twin room.
