Family church weekend in the heart of Norfolk

The Fountain Network based in Ashill has released a promotional video encouraging churches and Christians from across the region to experience its Father’s Heart Weekend in association with New Wine from June 24-26, a low cost, family conference set in the heart of the Norfolk countryside.

The Fountain of Life Church in Ashill will be hosting the third Father's Heart Weekend from June 24-26 in association with New Wine.

The weekend will be opened by the Bishop of Norwich speaking on Friday June 24, 7pm and other speakers will include Stuart and Chloe Glassborow, Senior Pastors at Catch The Fire London in Wembley and Founding Directors of The Kenyan Children’s ProjectJohn McGinley, Vicar of Holy Trinity, Leicester and Regional Leader from New Wine Midlands and East will also be speaking as will Freddy Hedley, Director of Training at the Fountain School of Theology

A programme of activities will be run for children and young people during the weekend led by Norwich Youth for Christ, Raise and First Steps from The Fountain of Life.

Leader of the Fountain of Life Church, Rev Stephen Mawditt said: “The Father's Heart Weekend 2016 aims to bring a New Wine style event to Norfolk in the hope that we'll be able to bring churches from across the region and across the denominations together for a low cost, weekend that's accessible to all.”

"We are thrilled that we are able to cap the fees so that a family could come and it will cost no more than £50.  We hope that you will be able to join us for this time together."

The cost of the event is £50 for a family or £20 for an adult. There is space for up to 500 adults in the main venue with separate areas for young people and children.

Rev Stephen Mawditt said: “We would love to encourage churches to treat this event as a church weekend away or for families to see it as an opportunity to experience something of New Wine without the pressure of having to journey to the South West.

“We believe that we are living in exciting times. God is moving among us in new and powerful ways and we are very keen to press into all that He has for us in this region. This weekend conference is a terrific opportunity to join together with other churches and individual Christians to seek the Father's Heart for us and our region, to be raised up, equipped and empowered to take the word of God to our own end of the earth.”

Andrea Jolly, FOL Family and Children’s Worker who will be leading the under 5s work said: “Our venue will be a purpose built Christian pre-school with outstanding facilities and resources for your children to enjoy.”

Andy Jones from Raise who will be leading the childrens work said: “There’s going to be gunge, there’s going to be games that you might never have played before because they are a little bit crazy, there’s going to be songs, there’s going to be loads of things to do.”

Some accommodation is available in local villages and there is a camping and caravanning site opposite the main venue.

Online booking is now available here or email admin@folchurch.co.uk for further information.
