Church's week of summer events for Eaton community

The Open Door Christian Fellowship, near Norwich’s Eaton Park, has announced a week of free fun events to serve their local community over the summer holidays on the South Park Estate.

On Tuesday to Thursday, August 13-15 The Open Door Christian Fellowship will be hosting a free Holiday Club for children aged 5 to 11 years.  The theme is ‘Mission Impossible: Discovering God’s World’ and each day will include songs, crafts, games, puzzles, Bible lessons and prizes with a sports afternoon on Wednesday.

On Saturday, August 15, from 12pm-4pm the church will be hosting a Grand Open Day. Attractions will include The Alpha and Omega Rally Car, emergency vehicles, the chance to learn First Aid, motorbikes (including the amazingly customized 'Pilgrim'), a bouncy castle, face painting, crafts and much more; all of which will be offered free of charge.

Pastor Stephen Bailey (pictured) said: “The Open Door Christian Fellowship longs to be a blessing to the local area and offers these events to improve life on the estate as well as highlighting its work among residents.”

The Open Day will also be an opportunity to learn more about the work of Open Door and other local charities including Norwich foodbank, FISH (Fun and Food in School Holidays) Clubs, Aid Africa and a local embroidery group. The local police will even be doing bicycle marking!

All events take place at The Open Door Christian Fellowship on Ramsey Close, NR4 7BQ and the week will conclude with a special service on Sunday, August, 18 at 11 am.

Further information can be obtained from their Facebook page or by contacting Pastor Stuart Bailey at todcfpastor@gmail.com.
