New leaders at Fakenham Salvation Army

2018: Fakenham Salvation Army welcomed Lieutenants Adrian and Gemma Allen as its new leaders following the retirement of Majors Keith and Rosemarie Williams.

Regional leader Major Derek Jones officially installed Adrian and Gemma as the leaders of the Fakenham church and community centre on Sunday July 22.

Adrian and Gemma have moved from Lowestoft, Suffolk, where they led a Salvation Army church and community centre. This is their second appointment as Salvation Army officers, having been ordained as full-time ministers three years ago. As part of her new responsibilities, Gemma will also lead the Salvation Army church in Briston.

Adrian said: “We are really excited to be here in Fakenham. The Salvation Army is dedicated to caring for people who are vulnerable or in need, showing Christian love in every community; we are already finding The Salvation Army in Fakenham is no different. We’ll be there when you need us.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting new people and exploring the area. I’ve already heard great things about Fakenham’s famous Thursday market day!  There’ll be lots of opportunities to meet new people in the coming weeks and months at The Salvation Army as we offer several community programmes, including a coffee morning on Thursdays and toddler group on Fridays during term time. We also have charity shops on Oak Street, Holt Road and in Market Place, Holt.

“Please feel free to come along to any of our activities and Sunday services or give us a call to say hello.”

Adrian and Gemma will be leading worship at The Salvation Army on Oak Street every Sunday at 10.15am.
