Rob Parsons and Davina McCall
An evening with Rob Parsons coming soon!

Rob Parsons OBE, founder of national Christian charity Care for the Family, is bringing his popular event to Norwich, Bury St Edmunds and Northampton in April.

Step into the untold stories from Rob’s lifetime of overcoming obstacles and discovering that the past doesn’t have to define us.

From the boy described as ‘making no use of what little ability he has,’ to an international best-selling author and speaker, Rob has a lifetime’s experience of overcoming obstacles.

He recalls the time when his father told him, ‘People like us don’t become lawyers,’ and the teacher who said even his best wasn’t good enough. Yet with the help of the people who believed he could be more, he learnt to grow through the challenges of life and discover that he wasn’t defined by his past. Rob went on to become a partner at a legal practice, write over 25 books and draw over a million people to live events during his career.

But perhaps the most remarkable part of Rob’s story is what happened the day a homeless man knocked on his door one Christmas. Rob opened the door to find Ronnie Lockwood standing before him, clutching a bag of belongings and a frozen chicken. Rob and his wife Dianne invited Ronnie into their home, cooked his chicken and offered him shelter for the night. And Ronnie never left. He lived as part of their family for over forty-five years until his death.

Rob recently had the opportunity to share some of this story, detailed in his book A Knock at the Door, with Davina McCall on her podcast, Begin Again, and has also been featured on BBC news and chatted to Lorriane Kelly on Radio 2.

An Evening with Rob Parsons is the chance to hear this incredible true story from Rob himself and journey through the decades with him as he reflects on a life mixed with laughter and tears, and draws on vivid stories from childhood, right through to the present day.

He will share timeless wisdom from a life of determination – how nothing is wasted, and why tomorrow doesn’t have to be like yesterday.
