Cloverfield Community Church in Thetford will be holding a celebration for the Samaritan Purse shoebox initiative

Operation Christmas Child is a project of Samaritan Purse. It is a hands-on way for Christians to bless children in need across the world by filling shoeboxes with toys, personal care items, school supplies, and fun gifts.

The mission of Operation Christmas Child is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with local churches to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.

Cloverfield Community Church, which is a Local Ecumenical Partnership (LEP) in Thetford between the Anglican and URC churches, is hosting a celebration of Operation Christmas Child on Saturday, 5 October 2024, between 2pm and 5pm.  There will be an opportunity to hear the testimony of a shoebox recipient.

All are welcome to attend and also meet Mark and Debra Watkins, Church Relations and Community Relations Team Members, who coordinate the efforts of Samaritan’s Purse in Norfolk.
