Wild Church Norfolk produces a worship toolkit
Charlie Houlder-Moat from the Diocese of Norwich Mission Enablers Team has written a Wild Church Toolkit to explore Christian spirituality and mission in the natural world.
Wild Church Norfolk was created to support wellbeing through nature, encourage green living, and provide space to explore spirituality and faith. It also aims to create community around a shared interest of being outdoors in wild places.
The 32-page booklet is a guide on how to grow a form of outdoor worship. It covers practical issues and answers a variety of questions as well as showcasing examples of this kind of mission and ministry.
“We can use the toolkit to build upon the momentum of the activism of young Christians,” commented Bishop Graham Usher of Norwich, who has endorsed the resource. “It can be used to further our new-found appreciation of our natural surroundings that was discovered during the lockdowns of Covid-19, and to learn from the example of St Francis of Assisi who lived a life in a close rhythm with the natural world.”
The Wild Church Toolkit costs £3.95, and you can buy a copy on the Diocese of Norwich website here.
