Leap of faith for Yarmouth café volunteers
Two volunteers at a community café in Yarmouth will be doing a tandem skydive next month to raise money for the café outreach.
Chef Luke and volunteer supervisor Nicola, pictured above, will be doing the tandem skydive on Thursday July 15 to raise funds for the Great Yarmouth Pathway Cafe and Support Centre, which is run by Minster Mission. They are hoping to raise £2,000.
The Pathway Café provides three-course lunches for those in need within the local community each week on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 noon to 2pm. A light lunch is served on Saturdays from 12 noon to 2pm. The Pathway Team is always grateful for any gifts of fresh food and donations to support this work.
The centre is at The Minster Mission, Admiralty Road, Great Yarmouth, NR30 3DG. As a registered charity, Pathway relies entirely on donations and fundraising to offer the vital services they provide.
Jennifer King, the charity manager, said "This is both a very worthwhile cause and a big feat for our wonderful Luke and Nicola to agree to, so any donations will be gratefully received"
