Carols 4
Car park carols offer hope in Wymondham

On Sunday December 20, people from Wymondham gathered in the church car park of Hope Community Church to celebrate Christmas together with 'Carols in the Car Park’, a drive in carol service.

Over 400 people across three services gathered in their cars to worship and the message of joy and hope bought delight to everyone who attended.

A whole host of volunteers clad in hi-vis jackets welcomed cars as they arrived and also handed out goodie bags to all the children and youth who attended. The Hope Coffee Co.  served some of their signature Christmas drinks and were in high demand throughout the whole afternoon as guests enjoyed warming up with gingerbread lattes and hot chocolates.

Local haulage company Paul Artherton Transport generously loaned one of their 45ft trailers which became the perfect staging area for the worship band to lead the crowd in several well known Carols. There was even a pre-recorded video featuring many children and families from the church singing a version of Matt Redman's 'His Name Shall be', which you can find here;

You can also find a live streamed version of the drive-in Carol Service on YouTube here:
