Norwich foodbank publishes latest updates
Norwich foodbank has published its Summer 2020 newsletter with news of its Covid-19 crisis response, record numbers being fed, its tenth anniversary and items of food which are most needed.
You can read about the huge change in Norwich foodbank’s operations moving from distribution centres to over 1,000 direct deliveries by early May and the recruitment of many new volunteers.
You can also read about record numbers of people being fed nationally by the Trussell Trust foodbank network and a 43% increase in food parcels across Norwich.
The Christian charity is marking its tenth anniversary this year marked by confetti cannons and Jaffa Cakes and also a possible Bishop’s Garden event in July (to be confirmed).
You can also discover the currently most-needed food items which include instant mash, long life fruit juice and long life sponge puddings.
You can also donate online here.
