Online course for those looking at new job options
A new online course for those considering their work options or changing jobs is being offered by Compass Careers, a Norfolk-based business founded by two Christians.
The ‘Get Work Ready!’ course, is hosted by two experienced and passionate professionals, Lisa-Rose Moller and Zofia Fronek, and is delivered online, in interactive, small group sessions over a period of six weeks.
Zofia said: “If you are looking to change job, move industry or find a new career and are not sure how to go about it or where to start, this course is for you. We will be able to offer you some tools to get going as well as look at creative job hunting techniques and understanding the best career fit for you. The course is hosted live weekly, via Zoom, giving you the chance to interact and to ask questions, rather than simply providing online materials for self-study, as many other similar courses do."
The dates for the course are:
Thursday 4 June 20:15-21:30 - Get Ready! What do you really want to do?
Thursday 11 June 20:15-21:30 - Give your CV and cover letter a makeover
Thursday 18 June 20:15-21:30 - Get an understanding of the hidden job market
Thursday 25 June 20:15-21:30 - Gain confident interview skills
Thursday 2 July 20:15-21:30 - Grow your network
Thursday 9 July 20:15-21:30 - Go forward with SMART goals
Cost is £60 for all six sessions, with 10% discount if you bring a friend.
One recent course attendee said of the sessions: “They helped me in a short time to clarify which direction to take for my career development, by identifying and focusing on my interests and strengths and setting goals. I have also improved my CV, interview techniques and my online professional profile. I now have a much clearer path in front of me and I feel a lot more confident, motivated and excited to pursue a career change. Thank you very much!"
