CompassCareers750A Norfolk Discovery Break aims to boost your career

Compass Careers, a growing business founded by two Norfolk Christians, is offering people the chance to get away for three days on the beautiful north Norfolk coast to evaluate their career and be inspired and supported to make positive decisions about their future.

A Compass Careers Discovery Break combines a beautiful location with good food and six sessions of the ‘Discover your Potential’ course, which helps participants identify their skills, strengths, interests and values and importantly a career that fits.
Run by Norfolk Christians, Lisa-Rose Moller and Zofia Fronek, the three-night, all-inclusive break aims to give you a fresh perspective and new focus for your career.  The next Discovery Break will run from Thursday, November 28 – Sunday, December 3 at The Pleasaunce, Overstrand, on the beautiful north Norfolk coast.

Zofia said: “The course is for anyone who isn’t sure if they're in the right career. Perhaps you are not sure what to do next, you are thinking of changing your career or you have never actively done any career planning and would like to do so. It is ideal for those mid-career and also if you're thinking towards retirement but would like to do something different in the late stages of your career.”

Chris Longden, who participated in a Discovery Break earlier this year in Devon, said: “The course is coaching rather than advice, guiding participants to reach their own conclusions. The course is aimed at people at any stage of their career and this was demonstrated by the broad range of ages, stages and sectors represented. I left with a renewed sense of life purpose and would wholeheartedly recommend such a weekend to anyone.”

Lisa-Rose said: “We will guide you through the material which helps you define your interests, values, strengths and skills and get you started on the next steps to a job search creatively and with purpose. We can also provide all the tools you need to make great job applications, whether that's help with your CV, confidence at interview, or the do's and don'ts of applying for jobs.”

Book before September 26 for an early bird rate of £395 for an en-suite room / £365 for shared bathroom.

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
