Missionary speaker for North Norfolk Filling Station
Phil Whitehead, a pastor and missionary now based in Berkshire, will be the guest speaker at the North Norfolk Filling Station meeting on Monday March 25.
Phil became a Christian at the age of 17 years and was soon leading Christian Unions at both of the colleges he attended. Following a short career as a school teacher he served as missionary in Nigeria, before becoming the 'Evangelism and Missions Director' at Kensington Temple, a large multi racial church in Notting Hill Gate, part of the Elim denomination. From there he travelled to numerous nations, pioneering unreached people group projects into the Republic of Benin and Albania. Phil & Caroline pastor were recently invited to become the pastors of Kennet Christian Centre, Newbury, a growing church in Berkshire. Their ministry still takes them to many different nations. He authored the increasingly popular book, 'Thriving in the Grace of God’.
The Filling Station, which was born out of the Church of England in the West Country, has grown exponentially in terms of venues opening all over the United Kingdom and continues to serve and refresh both Church leaders, congregations and more importantly to open the eyes of those who are seeking answers to the meaning of life through the Christian faith. The Filling Station is helping to bring unity amongst believers from across the whole Church spectrum.
All are welcome at this meeting of The Filling Station for an evening of fellowship and wonderful worship followed by the main talk.
Coffee and cakes will be available from 7pm, with the main talk at 7.30pm. There will also be a prayer ministry time at the end of the evening.
