Norwich church hosts training on making disciples

Oak Grove Community Church in Norwich are hosting a training event on January 27 for those seeking to increase their confidence and understanding of how to make disciples and share the Gospel.

Jesus said: “Come follow me and I’ll teach you to fish for people.” He promised us that if we follow him, he will teach us to fish.

Oak Grove Community Church in North Norwich are running a training event on Saturday, January 27, 9am-4pm with Russell Godward from MOVE UK ( and members of the Oak Grove team to teach you how to put this into practice.

The ‘Following and Fishing’ training will teach you how to connect with people and how to share your story.  It will show you how to share God’s story, the gospel, and how to invite someone to read the Bible with you and discover Jesus for themselves using Discovery Bible Studies.

‘Following and Fishing’ training will equip you to make disciples among people who are far from God, using simple, reproducing methods.

Russell Godward said: “We run this training in many different settings, and wherever people implement we hear stories of people coming to faith in Jesus and learning to follow him in discipleship.”

There is a cost of £5.00.  Please bring your own lunch - coffee and tea will be provided.

Please let Becca, Oak Grove’s administrator, know that you are coming on 01603 403388 or email
