Come and sing Mozart at Sheringham churches

There is the opportunity for everyone in the community to sing Mozart Requiem at Sheringham Parish Church in October, with a free all-day workshop at Lighthouse Community Church to prepare and rehearse.

The workshop and concert are organised by Sheringham and Cromer Choral Society, pictured above, and the “Come and Sing” day is, as usual, open to singers of all ages and all abilities. The conductor for the day will be David Ballard with Philip Adams accompanying on piano and organ.
Bob Cumber from the society said “This year we shall be singing the always popular Mozart Requiem. Come along and enjoy this opportunity to relax and enjoy a whole day of music making together. For those who wish to do so there will be opportunities to sing a solo part in the informal performance which will take place in the evening”
The workshop will take place on Saturday October 14 at Lighthouse, 62 Cromer Road, Sheringham. Registration is at 10am and the workshop will conclude at 4pm.
The concert is at 5pm the same day at St Peter’s Parish Church in Sheringham. Friends and families are all welcome to the informal performance.  There is no admission charge, but there will be a retiring collection. St Peter’s “posh” refreshments will be available before and after performance.
The event is presented in conjunction with COAST Arts, and is supported by Tesco’s Bags of Help Fund.
Please book your free place in advance by contacting Jo Hurrell on 01263 711087 or email
Please indicate your voice part and if you wish to borrow a vocal score or will provide your own.
