Dog obedience demo follows Braydeston pet service

All dogs and other animals will be on their Sunday best behaviour at this year’s popular Braydeston Church Pet Service on October 9, followed by an outdoor dog obedience demonstration from Walsham Obedience Club.

The Braydeston Pet Service will take place at 3pm on Sunday, October 9 at the idyllic country church of St Michael & All Angels, Braydeston set above a picturesque hillside between Blofield and Brundall.

After the service, the wide range of pets visiting the service will be treated to a dog obedience demonstration staged in the churchyard by Walsham Obedience Club. Well behaved pets and their owners will be welcome at both events.

RevPeterLeechCF450Rev Peter Leech, Rector of Brundall Benefice (right) said: “The Pet Service has become a popular occasion and we believe that the dog demonstration will offer a degree of entertainment to all those who love their pets.”

Walsham Obedience Club Secretary and Trainer Tony Hull will be putting the pooches through their paces and is realistic about getting a dozen dogs and their owners to put on a worthy show all at the same time.

Tony observes.” The demonstration will be in an environment unlike our usual indoor, compact, unchallenging training venue. In the great outdoors, dogs are distracted by challenges such as space, sound and tempting sights not to mention those irresistible countryside smells. No doubt we’ll have our moments!”
