S Norfolk praise party with Duggie Dug Dug

Children’s evangelist, Doug Horley, will be visiting Carleton Rode Baptist Church on May 27 to lead a praise party for all the family to enjoy, in advance of the church's half-term holiday club.

On the Friday that children break up for half term, May 27,  6.30pm Doug Horley, known as Duggie Dug Dug at Spring Harvest, will be hosting a Praise Party at Carleton Rode Baptist Church.

Pastor Mark Taylor of Carleton Rode Baptist Church said: “Following on from the success and massive turn out for his November visit, we have a second visit from Doug Horley Children's Evangelist.  This event is aimed at 5 - 11 year olds and anyone else who is a child at heart, great for all the family to enjoy together."

“We are using this event to launch our half term holiday club, ‘Rocky's Plaice’, aimed at 5 - 11 year olds.”

The evening will be filled with fast action-packed fun including songs, illusions, puppets and dance.

When Doug Horley last visited the church, tickets sold out quickly so you are encouraged to purchase tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Tickets cost £2 per person and they can be purchased by contacting Pastor Mark at or from the Carleton Rode Coffee Shop which is open on Tuesdays at 12noon – 3pm, Thursdays at 9am – 12noon and Saturdays at 12noon – 3.30pm.

Rocky’s Plaice Holiday Club will take place on

Monday, May 30, 10am – 12.30pm
Wednesday, June 1, 10am – 12.30pm
Friday, June 3, 10am – 12.30pm followed by a free family BBQ Lunch
Sunday, June 5, 10.30am

All children are welcome, but must be registered on first visit.

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
