Successful mixing of Norfolk Christians

It is a year since the relaunch of The Mix Norfolk and now the Christian social group is successfully providing regular opportunities for people of different denominations and church backgrounds to make new friendships and enjoy varied fun activities.

Following a hiatus the Christian social group, The Mix Norfolk, relaunched last April with the aim of providing all Christians aged over 25 a relaxed place to meet with other Christians in an informal setting.
Since then The Mix has held a monthly social meeting in the Forum in Norwich where people can enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine. As well as these regular monthly get-togethers there is also a monthly social activity such as a cinema trip, meal out, walk, Saturday brunch or visit to the theatre.
The Mix BeachOrganiser Lucy Kemp said: ““We have had a great year of establishing the group again and have had people join us from all parts of Norfolk, Suffolk and even Cambridgeshire, as well as Norwich itself.  We have had lots of opportunities to get to know new people and have enjoyed walks, cinema and theatre trips, meals out and even a visit to the Observatory.”

The emphasis is on friendship and providing an opportunity to meet new people. The group is mainly attended by single people but all are very welcome.
Lucy said: “It is an inter-church, inter-denominational initiative which is open to God using a diversity of ways to bring people together. We hope that in some ways The Mix will help people on their journey becoming all that God wants them to be through inspiration, encouragement and friendships.”
“We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead as The Mix continues to grow, new friendships are made and lots of different activities are enjoyed.”

The monthly social gatherings are held at Café Bar Marzano at the Forum (NR2 1TF) in Norwich at 7pm on the second Saturday of every month and all are very welcome.
