Norfolk charities show what they can offer

CharitiesAtHome450On Saturday July 12, 25 Norfolk charities will come together at the second ‘Charities at Home’ event in the Forum, Norwich, to promote their services to local people and provide information about ways in which they can be supported.

‘Charities at Home’ was the idea of event organiser Sharon Hulbert, who said, “There are so many excellent charities in Norfolk that provide services which help improve the lives of local people and, by coming to the Forum, visitors will be able to find out what services are available to them but also find out about volunteering and fundraising for the charities.
“Thanks to the support of our partners we have been able to offer the stands at no cost to the charities. I am also immensely grateful to Raise Your Profile, joint organiser of ‘Charities at Home’ who have produced the logo, artwork and website.”
Ronnie Zahdeh, Managing Director added, "A day that provides the opportunity for local charities to engage with local people is a great idea and is precisely along the lines of Raise Your Profile's ethos of doing all we can to help charities. Our hope is that it proves useful to both people and charities. We are delighted to be able to offer charities the chance to have a free stand."
Exhibitors include several Christian projects, the Matthew Project, YMCA Norfolk, Magdalene Group and Emmaus Norwich alongside many other local groups such as Big C, Leeway and The Benjamin Foundation.
