Norwich Christian project in awards shortlist

ENYPNorwich Christian youth project ENYP has been nominated for a National Christian Youth Work Award and have been shortlisted for their innovative work.

The nominations for these awards have come from around the country, from a diverse range of individuals, including church members, youth workers, employers, young people and parents. The field that the awards were shortlisted from was very strong this year; the judging panel, made up of young people and youth work experts, had quite a challenge in deciding the finalists and winners in each of the five categories.

The purpose of the awards is to find, celebrate and promote outstanding Christian youth work practice in the UK. So many people work hard, often unseen and unheard, in the world of youth work. The aim of the Youth Work Awards is to find and highlight some of those we might otherwise not hear about in an attempt
to encourage all youth workers around the country to be appreciated and celebrated.

Danny Doran-Smith, Founder and Director of ENYP says; "We are thrilled to be finalists in National Christian Youth Work Awards in the category 'Most Innovative Youth Work Project'. To be recognised on a National level is incredibly humbling, my thanks goes out to all the team, staff, volunteers, partners, churches - and of course young people! - who have worked so hard over the last 6 years".

This year, finalists in each category are invited to a special awards dinner at the London School of Theology, the Awards are a joint Project between 'We Love our Youth Worker' The National Charter for Church Youth Workers, and the Youth Work Magazine.
