Norfolk Dean embarks on prayer tour
The Rural Dean of the Blofield Deanery is embarking on a three year prayer tour around the area’s churches in a bid to encourage the local congregations.
The Rural Dean of the Blofield Deanery, the Revd. Paul Cubitt, has created a prayer tour around the deanery churches. With the days getting longer there will be a Compline service at 8pm at each church on the tour, with a brief introduction to each church followed by Night Prayer.
It is estimated that it will take Paul about three years to visit every church in the deanery - including the redundant and ruined churches.
The hope is to pray in each church for that church and community and to encourage the local congregation by the deanery coming to them. Paul aims to demonstrate how the Christian church community is valued and create a wider sense of fellowship and understanding within the deanery.
