Norfolk Christian author publishes his story

Paul Juby2008: Norfolk Christian author Paul Juby’s autobiography is published this week. The Road to Jesus Is Never Closed is the story of Paul’s remarkable life including his conversion to Christianity by Malaysian teenagers and his adventures since then, escaping death through divine help.

Paul, 77 is the son of a Methodist missionary to Sierra Leone. He was educated at Kingswood School in Bath and travelled to work in Malaysia at the age of 20. His autobiography details how God opened doors that he never dreamt about and his story includes several challenging poems he has written.

“I wrote this book to be a Christian witness” explains Paul, “as it says on the cover, This book has a Spiritual Health Warning. Take care. When read it can give you contagious enthusiasm to follow Jesus.”

Paul Juby book coverPaul was one of the pioneers of the Malaysian Boys' Brigade, the oldest Christian uniformed movement in the world. He has seen it grow from 30 Boys to over 9,000 and spread to four more countries. He is Honorary President for the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland for the Stedfast Association, the alumni of The Boys' Brigade, a County Chairman, Honorary Vice-President of the Malaysian Boys' Brigade and an evangelist lay preacher.

Paul loves preaching, gardening and mountaineering and has an amazingly positive outlook on life. Having thoroughly enjoyed his 70s, he is now looking forward to an eighth decade that he is certain will be full of adventure.

The Road to Jesus Is Never Closed is published by Xulon Press. Paul is also author of Laugh with the Lord, a collection of 200 Christian cartoons.
Mountaineering in Malaysia
On 23rd March 2009, Paul will be leading his fourth sponsored climb of Mount Kinabalu in Borneo in aid of Boys Brigade Asia. The climb is 13,500ft and will take approximately 4 days. The team will comprise about thirty people from Hong Kong, Singapore and Malaysia.

“This will be my last climb – by order of the wife - due to my age of 77 and two artificial hips. In fact, during my previous climb, the guides called me Robokop! If there are one or two solid Christians who have the stamina and funds to join me, it would be possible to join the team.”
