Norwich diocese launches new website

NorwichDioceseWebsiteThe Diocese of Norwich has launched a new-look up-to-the-minute website which will enable visitors to find a parish church easily and quickly and, at a click of the mouse, will enable them to see what’s happening across the Diocese.
The website, which can be found at has been developed by the Diocese’s new Internal Communications Officer, Gordon Darley, a graduate of Aston Business School, Birmingham, who joined the Diocese last summer.
GordonDarleyWebThe aim of the new website is to facilitate communications between the Diocese’s 645 churches, and also to enable visitors and tourists to Norfolk and Waveney to find a local church.
A new “What’s On” Calendar displays church-related events across the region, and the website will be updated regularly and expanded over the next few months as it becomes a vital tool for the Church’s communication.
Gordon Darley said: “Having had experience in web design and having studied marketing at university, I became interested in how I could use these two tools to help the church improve its communications. My new role is enabling me to explore how the church can use new media in a dynamic and creative way – and in ways which have not previously been explored.”

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
