Cromer churches host domestic abuse campaign

'Souls of our Shoes' – a Mothers' Union exhibition raising awareness of domestic abuse - will be in Cromer Parish Church and St Martin's Church over the next two weeks, and all are invited to come and find out more about this important issue.

The exhibition is part of the Mothers' Union 'Rise Up' campaign, and will be in Cromer Parish Church between Sunday 8 and Saturday 14 September and at St Martin's Church in Mill Road, Cromer from Sunday 15 to Thursday 19 September.  The exhibition will open daily from 10.30am to 3.30pm each day.

The organisers say, “The powerful exhibition is part of the Mothers' Union 'Rise Up' campaign to raise awareness of domestic abuse worldwide.  There will be people around to offer support, a listening ear and prayer if wanted. Please visit, and take few moments to reflect and pray for all affected by this sometimes-hidden trauma.”

Mothers' Union are working with their members to ensure that as many churches as possible have information about their local domestic abuse helpline. The letters of RISE UP stand for Respond, Inform, Support, Empower, Unite and Pray.

Mothers' Union is a global Christian movement working with people of all faiths and none to strengthen families and advocate for change. Our 4 million members are active in 83 countries and work tirelessly to serve their communities to build a future where everyone thrives.
