New video and team for Norfolk Christian football

The Norfolk Christian Football League has launched a new video, welcomed a new welfare officer and is looking for others to get involved in different roles.

The committee has welcomed Jonathan Onyeme from the Redeemed Christian Church of God as he begins his training to become League Welfare Officer replacing Mike Culwick who is stepping down from this role. Mike will remain on the committee to continue his valued work with the youth football.

League chairman, Tom Horsfall, said: “With plenty more football this year we are really eager to see how God will move amongst the more than 300 men and an ever growing number of youth it's a great time to get involved.

“In addition to the football growth, the committee is also looking to expand our ministry with committee members attending more games to pray and share a short word with the teams before games are played. This also presents the opportunity to represent the league more publicly. As part of this we are looking for league sponsorship so that we can build the resources to undertake this expanded element of the league."

I'm sure you'll agree that with the general decline of grass roots football it is really encouraging to see a second year of growth within the Christian League,” said Tom.

“Please do reach out if you'd like to get involved in any capacity. Your ongoing prayers and encouragement would also be very much appreciated. Games are played across Norfolk at 10:30 on Saturday mornings and I'm sure I speak on behalf of all our clubs when I say they'd appreciate any additional spectators and support.”
