Norwich walk to remember loved ones lost
The Matthew Project’s second Walk to Remember event took place in Norwich city centre on Saturday March 2.
A group of Matthew Project supporters including CEO Rachel Chapman, staff, volunteers, members and Chaplain Rev Annie Blyth walked the 5.7 mile ‘Nooks & Crannies’ route.
They walked and talked, sharing stories of loved ones lost or struggling as a result of substance misuse. Empowered by solidarity and a sense of accomplishment when reaching the end of our challenge, it was smiles all round despite the wind and rain.
In the afternoon they were treated to a delicious tea at St George Church, Colegate, where Rev Annie held a service of reflection to close the day. Rev Annie said: “We feel privileged to work with and support The Matthew Project and all that they do.”
In total they raised close to £1,500 which is a fantastic achievement. However, it’s not too late to donate so if you’d like to show your support: Walk to Remember, 2024 – JustGiving
