Norwich Christian leaders invite to meet together
The Transforming Norwich steering group are inviting Christian leaders to meet together in-person for the first time in 18 months to share lunch and to encourage and pray for one another.
The meeting will take place at the King's Centre in Norwich from 12 noon until 2pm on Wednesday September 29, after 18 months of meeting online via Zoom due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and is intended for church and Christian organisation leaders from across greater Norwich.
The steering group writes: "Many of us, over the past 18 months, have faced both unexpected challenges and new opportunities as we've sought to follow Jesus and lead others through a sometimes difficult and somewhat unusual season. One of the joys for us over this period has been the opportunity to gather on Zoom with other leaders from across Greater Norwich and spend time encouraging and praying for one another.
"While Zoom has served us well, we're really looking forward to being able to gather in-person again and would like to invite you to join us at the King's Centre, on Wednesday September 29, 12-2pm. This will be an opportunity to connect with one another over a buffet lunch, maybe meet some new friends and, we hope, be encouraged and refreshed through our time together. We'll spend some of our time looking to the future for Transforming Norwich, and we'd love to hear what you want/value from our times together and how each of us might contribute as we go forward into this new season.
"We also realise some might have reservations about gathering in person again, please do let us know if this is the case as we may be able to facilitate something on Zoom to enable you to engage in our time together. It may also help you to know that the King's Centre is operating as a Covid-19 secure premises complying with industry and the government’s guidance on managing the risk posed by Covid-19. We have also been accredited by the AA as being a Covid-19 Confident venue.
"Whether you've been coming along to Transforming Norwich lunches for years, or you've never been before, we'd love to see you there."
If you'd like to attend please could you book in by sending a quick email to administrator Lisa Fifield at firstname.lastname@example.org, by Monday September 27.
