Yarmouth church provides children’s clothes
Kingsgate Community Church in Great Yarmouth has just launched a new service to provide children’s clothing to needy local families.
Lilies is a new friendly service that provides and delivers preloved children’s clothing, free of charge, for children aged 6 months to 11 years. It has been set up by the church, which runs the Kings Centre in Great Yarmouth, with the aim of continuing to meet needs and be a blessing in the community.
Rachael Baylis, the Lilies Coordinator at Kingsgate said “Lilies has been established to offer practical support and encouragement to local families in need, and works alongside some of our other activities such as our SMILE holiday teatime food and fun project and the Kingsgate Hot Food Hub.”
There is a simple referral form for Lilies which needs to be completed listing the clothing items being requested. There are no formal eligibility criteria, just that the referrer knows that the service would help to meet needs and that the family would benefit from this support. Referrals can come from any local service provider, charity, support worker, and self-referral may also be accepted.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for the referral form or for more information.
