NCBC given shield as Norfolk Christian Football League winners

Norwich Central Baptist Church (NCBC) have been presented with a shield to mark winning the Norfolk Christian Football League title, as they prepare for another cup final appearance on April 13.

NCBCLeagueWinnersMedalsMarch19NCBC have continued their recent domination of the league, winning eight league titles in the last 11 years, plus several cup wins.

They received the trophy and medals from Henry Aspin, manager of Eaton Eagles, and Paulo Mussi, associate pastor at Norwich Central Baptist Church, after their Bishop’s Cup semi-final victory on March 23.

Henry said: “NCBC are a good bunch of lads, they play good football and we always enjoy testing ourselves against them. What they’ve achieved in the league over the last decade is outstanding and they’re once again worthy winners.”

NCBC won the semi-final and will now face Heigham Park Rangers (HPR), who beat St John’s in the other semi, in the final of the Bishop Maurice Wood Cup at the Football Development Centre at Bowthorpe on Saturday April 13, ko 10.15am. All are welcome to attend.

HPR will be looking for their first-ever Bishop’s Cup victory, while NCBC, in their fourth final in a row, will be looking for a hat-trick of victories.
