Norwich event to equip men for challenges of life

Christian charity Care for the Family is bringing In the Arena to Norwich on 8 November.  It’s an event that aims to equip men with practical strategies to withstand the challenges of life.

Attendees will hear from Care for the Family founder and author Rob Parsons and former paratrooper Gerrit Bantjes.
Rob said: “We can all face challenges and frustrations in life; perhaps the car won’t start, we forget an important anniversary or the train is delayed yet again. Sometimes life throws bigger problems at us like a redundancy or a close friend in need.
“When all these add up, how do we respond? Do we buckle under the pressures life throws our way? And how do we let these moments affect our relationships, character or well-being?
“At our men’s event, In the Arena, Gerrit Bantjes and I will share biblical insights and practical strategies to equip men for those critical areas of life such as friendships, finance and career. So why not get a group of men together and join us to be encouraged and strengthened.
Rob Parsons, OBE, is the founder and Chairman of Care for the Family. He is a bestselling author of over 20 books including the The Heart of Success and The Sixty Minute Father. He has spoken to governments, many blue chip companies and over a million individuals.
Gerrit Bantjes has been a British Army paratrooper and fitness coach to Cardiff Rugby Club. He’s an experienced leader of men’s ministry and a world-class communicator, addressing audiences in the UK and abroad.
The event starts at 7.30pm on 8 November at The Space, Norwich NR7 8SQ. You can book tickets in advance for £6 or £7 on the door.

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
