Joel Payne from Resound Worship will be leading a music workshop at St Andrew’s Church in Gorleston on March 17, and tickets are now available.
The workshop, called Songs for Sundays, is aimed at musicians, singers and worship planners, and has the objective of helping you:
Explore the worship journey and how to use songs well
Discover how to make the most of your unique musical resources
Learn a whole set of brand new songs from the Resound Worship team
Get Involved by playing, singing and joining the discussion
Joel Payne is Gorleston born and bred and, having previously worked as Worship Pastor at both St Michael le Belfrey in York and St James in Muswell Hill, now heads up Resound Worship. Resound is a team of writers who work collaboratively to produce new, quality worship songs for the church, as well as producing a podcast and running workshops and retreats for other songwriters.
Joel recently oversaw the creation of a new charity, the Song & Hymn Writers Foundation, which has become the umbrella within which Resound and its sister organisation, Jubilate, operate as they look to grow their work with churches and individual writers.
He is also a seasoned songwriter himself, with What Kind of Throne and Come, Let's Sing among his most popular titles. In his spare time he is an enthusiastic runner and pizza chef.
The workshop will run from 10am to 4pm on Saturday March 17 at St Andrews Church, Gorleston NR31 6LR. Tickets are £5.00 per person, which includes lunch.
