Norfolk churches join and pray during week of unity

Several denominations of Norfolk churches will be coming together to celebrate a week of prayer for Christian unity with a Praise and Prayer evening at Poringland Community Centre on January 19.

Poringland and Framingham Earl Churches Together (P&FECT), which comprises Framingham Earl Methodist; Anglican church of All Saints, Poringland; Cornerstone Church; The Catholic church of Our Lady of the Annunciation are celebrating the 2018 Week of Prayer for Christian Unity with a Praise and Prayer evening at Poringland Community Centre.

This will take place on Friday 19th January 2018 at 7pm in the Community centre, located on Overtons Way, Poringland, Norwich NR14 7WB, and P&FECT invite all local Christians to join them in this annual act of unity. Poringland and Framingham Earl communities are growing fast with much housing development and, whilst the local churches cater for many local Christians, this is an opportunity to meet and get to know other Christians in the area who worship elsewhere through this annual act of unity.

Richard George, leader of Cornerstone Church says, “It’s a joy to work with the other churches in Poringland and Framingham Earl all year round, so I especially look forward to this - the praying together!”

The local Anglican Church leader, Revd Robert Parsonage says, “It is always a great encouragement whenever Christians from the local churches and denominations gather together for fellowship, prayer and worship. At this annual event celebrating Christian unity, we especially extend a warm welcome to all those from our wider community.”
