Online shopping boost for counselling centre

OnlineShoppingThe Norwich based Christian counselling charity 4Cs has just launched its own online shopping mall providing access to over 700 branded high street retailers.

The shopping mall raises money for 4Cs Counselling Centre through everyday products bought online. The revenue raised, on products bought at no extra cost to the shopper, will be used to help ensure that the provision of the low cost counselling service can continue.

Established in 1990 as a church based service, 4Cs is now an independent charity providing low cost counselling from its premises in Rosemary Lane, Norwich.

Director Rob Hoffman said: “To keep the charges so low does mean that the charity relies on external funding for its existence. This online shopping mall is just one of the ways in which funds are raised to support this essential work.”

Shoppers will have access to retailers such as Curry’s, Domino’s Pizza, Harrods, Thorntons, Hertz, Hilton, PC World, Tesco.com, iTunes, and Orange among others, from whom they will buy from directly.

Shoppers will therefore pay exactly the same price for their products as if they went to the retailer directly, but 4Cs Counselling Centre will receive a commission payment from every purchase you make.

“The mall, which is powered by Affinity Shopper, is an exciting new marketing tool for the 4Cs Counselling Centre,” said Rob, “with the potential to effectively raise money for its needs without making any additional requests on our supporters.”

Do you appreciate our service and stories?

The Network Norwich & Norfolk website has been published for over 13 years now and we have an established team of professional journalists covering the activities, organisations and churches which make up the county’s Christian community. Our whole purpose is to support that community by daily providing accurate, unbiased stories and features.

To pay for that service, we rely on our partner organisations, advertisers and readers to, in turn, support us financially. We want to keep the website free for everyone to access and continue to be able to pay for writers to produce the content you can enjoy every day.

We would like to ask you to consider supporting our work and suggest you might want to make a small regular donation of just £1 a week and become one of our 100 Friends, or a larger one-off or annual amount.

Because we are part of a registered charity we can reclaim Gift Aid on your donations if you are a tax-payer.
