Polar expedition bans Brundall holiday boredom
They say that parents appreciate school teachers most during school holidays, so the Rectory garden at St Laurence Church will become ‘polarised’ and host a Scripture Union holiday club programme.
Brundall children between the ages of 5-11 will not have time to be bored. Many are already signed-up for Yare Valley Churches Polar Explorers club, which runs from July 27 to July 31, 2015.
With the help of Sir Random Finds and Bare Feet, the children will become explorers who go on a mini-expedition each day and learn about a New Testament Bible character. Through the lives of these people, they learn that no one is ‘never too anything’ to be part of God’s big expedition, that is, to be a friend of Jesus and go out and help other people be friends of Jesus too. There will be lots of fun and games, opportunities for craft and ‘building’ projects. Boredom will be banished in Brundall and it’s still not too late for any more bookings.
