Ex Norwich City star to talk football and faith

Former Norwich City striker and current boxing champion Leon McKenzie will talk about boxing, football, family and his faith in Jesus Christ at Soul Church in Norwich on April 26.

The former Canaries Premier League striker, who scored twice on his City debut against Ipswich Town at Portman Road, also played for Crystal Palace, Fulham, Coventry City and Charlton.
Retiring from football in 2013, he followed his father Clinton McKenzie and uncle Duke McKenzie into the boxing ring. Last month, Leon won his first boxing title by beating Ivan Stupalo at York Hall in Bethnal Green to take the international super-middleweight masters belt.
But life for Leon has also had big challenges, which you can read about in his autobiography, My Fight With Life, published in 2012.
Leon has admitted battling depression. He was jailed for six months in February 2012 for trying to avoid speeding convictions and in December 2011 he admitted that he had tried to commit suicide whilst a player with Charlton.
Leon will be the guest at Soul Church on Mason Road in Norwich from 5pm on Sunday April 26.
