Global Leadership Summit taster morning in N Norfolk
The Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit telecast will return to Norwich in November, but there is a taster morning to be held in Sheringham on May 13. Tony Rothe reports.
The Global Leadership Summit is a two-day event telecast live in High Definition from Willow Creek’s campus near Chicago every August to hundreds of locations in North America, watched by an expected 305,000 people committed to getting better as leaders. Throughout the autumn, Summit events take place at an additional 675 plus sites around the world, in 125 countries and 59 languages.
The two-day Norwich event in November is being organised by two local church leaders – Ian Savory, senior pastor at Lighthouse Community Church in Sheringham, and Nick Blanch, Director of Norwich Youth For Christ. It includes live worship with a live host, but the teaching is provided on large screens. The event is aimed at leaders in all walks of life, Christian and secular, but is delivered from a Christian perspective.
Ian says “The Global Leadership Summit is one of those must-try events that equips and facilitates leaders the world over. It is even being broadcast to a growing number of prisons in the US. If you’ve never heard of GLS, or not sure if it’s for you, then this taster event provides a free morning session so you can see what it’s like”
The taster morning runs from 10am to 12.30pm with coffee from 9.30am on Saturday May 13. The venue is Lighthouse Community Church, 62 Cromer Road, Sheringham, Norfolk, NR26 8RT. Places are free but must be booked in advance on 01263 825155, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org .
The main event will be on Thursday and Friday November 9 and 10 at Drayton Hall just outside Norwich.
