‘Music Galore’ at next FGB event in Norwich

Popular music nights with a Gospel theme continue to be part of an increasingly diverse programme of the FGB Fellowship in Norwich.

Their next music event has the rhyming title of “Music Galore at the Sprowston Blue Boar” on Wednesday, April 5, says Dr Barrie Lawrence, president of the local FGB Chapter.

“We expect a good number of first-time visitors will come along and enjoy live music, food, a relaxing evening and some brief but life-changing stories at the Blue Boar Public House, on Wroxham Road, Sprowston, NR7 8RL,”  he says.

“If the rhyming title for the April music evening sounds somewhat  ‘poetic’ - then that's what you get when a country-and-western gospel singer marries a poet!” explains Barrie. He is referring to popular keyboard artist Bob Waters and his wife, Connie.

Sharing “new life stories” is the theme of all events arranged by the Full Gospel Fellowship which for more 30 years has held inspirational dinners with guest speakers who share their Christian testimony “to a mixed audience of believers and not-yet Christians”. These events continue regularly at the Mercure Hotel in Norwich.

Advance tickets for the “Music Galore” night are just £10, and are available now from Barrie Lawrence on 01603 898 289 or email: barrielawrence@btinternet com

BlueBoarPub450FGB’s diverse programme this year will include international evenings as well as more music events, including an Elvis Tribute evening which will feature some of the singers much-loved gospel songs, interspersed with testimonies. This event will be at The Talk nightspot in Oak Street, Norwich, NR3 6Bp on Saturday May 20. Ticket are £10 in advance or £12.50 on the door, from FGB on 01603 898 289.
