Aneeta PremCF
Breaking the Silence event at Norwich Cathedral

A Norfolk Women Reaching Women coffee morning, hosted by a number of local organisations,  will be held on March 8 at Norwich Cathedral with Aneeta Prem speaking on violence against women and girls worldwide.

The event entitled ‘Breaking the Silence’ is part of International Women's Day Breaking the and will be an opportunity to meet a range of organisations and to pledge to take action. Over twenty organisations are working together, including Mothers’ Union Norwich Diocese, Magdalene Group, Norfolk Federation of Women’s Institutes, Age UK, Victim Support and MIND. Many of the organisations involved work with women across Norfolk and globally to build confidence and against domestic abuse and violence.
Aneeta Prem is an author and public speaker and founder of Freedom Charity, who aim to raise awareness and prevent child abuse, especially forced marriage and FGM affecting girls in the UK. Anita was instrumental in helping make forced marriage a crime in July 2014.  Aneeta travels up and down the country delivering talks to students in schools, colleges and universities and donating tens of thousands of copies of her book But It’s Not fair.
