Former Norfolk vicar launches new network

Former West Norfolk vicar, Rev Tony Higton, has launched the Maranatha Network which is for Christians to follow simple steps to encourage thought and prayer about the return of Christ.

tonyhigtonTony has served as an Anglican clergyman for over 40 years in West Norfolk, Newark, Cheltenham, Essex and Jerusalem.

Tony is providing a brief daily meditation for each day of the month that includes a relevant verse or two of scripture, a thought-provoking question and a very brief prayer, and it is a very practical way of pausing and watching for a minute or two each day.

Tony said “I am concerned to help Christians live in the light of the Return of Christ. I have stressed recently that Jesus calls us to watch for his coming. Are we obeying Jesus’ command to “be alert,” “be on guard,” “keep watch” and pray for his Return? If so, how are we doing this? If not, why not? Jesus’ command is relevant to all Christians, whatever their particular views about the Second Coming.”

You can find a copy of the meditation at http://www.christianteaching.org.uk/Maranatha%20Network.html
