Youthworker needed in South Norwich & Norfolk

Norwich Youth for Christ are a forward-looking team who are passionate about reaching out with the good news of Jesus to young people in Norwich and the surrounding areas. The successful candidate will drive the youth outreach south of Norwich across the area of Poringland, Framingham Earl, Bramerton and Thurton on behalf of a wide church partnership.

We are looking for someone to prepare and deliver youth clubs and youth cafes, drawing in volunteers from the community to strengthen the work.

We want to grow our schools work in the area, by strengthening our relationships with one secondary and four primary schools to create further opportunities and serve their needs.

You will need to be innovative, creative with ideas and a good communicator, able to work with large groups and individual young people. Experience of youthwork is essential and experience of schools work would be advantageous.

There is a genuine occupational requirement that the postholder is a Christian. A full driving license and an enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful applicant.

Hours per week: 28

£8.64 – £9.59 per hour, dependant on experience
