Communications Officer needed by Diocese of Norwich
The Diocese of Norwich is looking for someone to join their communications team who will promote and communicate the mission and ministry of the church primarily through digital communications.
The person will proactively manage our social media presence; write news articles to highlight events, resources and projects ensuring our website is up-to-date; and be editor of our regular eNews and campaign emails.
Key skills include superb writing skills and the ability to instinctively search out what's relevant and interesting about a news story, event, project or resource; then be able to summarise and communicate it well across communication channels with clarity and passion.
They will also project manage various campaigns and projects, such as seasonal campaigns around Lent, Easter, Pentecost and Christmas and our websites such as www.ExploringNorfolkChurches.org and www.BrightMap.org.
This full-time role is based at Diocesan House in Easton, near Norwich.
35 hours per week (plus out of hours social media & press cover)
Salary: Band D (Starting at £21,921)
Contributory pension plan; health care cash-plan (after 6 months)
25 days holiday per annum, plus statutory bank holidays and discretionary Christmas holiday
Start date: As soon as possible
