Walk 84 miles to give Norwich Youth for Christ a boost
The Norwich Youth for Christ team are planning to walk 84 miles along the Norfolk Coastal Path to raise funds for their Boost alternative education project that helps students at risk of exclusion, and they invite you to walk with them.
Boost is a new project from Norwich Youth for Christ designed to help students who are struggling to make progress in school and are at risk of exclusion. The project runs two days a week and gives these young people access to a life skills course, mentoring, course work and song-writing.
To raise money for laptops needed for students to use in the programme, and other Boost materials, the Norwich Youth for Christ team are planning a special challenge called ‘Hoof it to Hopton!’
Nick Blanch, Director of Norwich Youth for Christ said: “On 22-24 July, we are attempting to walk the Norfolk Coastal path, an 84 mile journey from Hunstanton to Hopton. The website says a leisurely walk should take you 5 days...so we are attempting it in 3! I know, everyone does a walk these days. So to spice it up, we will be running additional challenges throughout that will be a surprise to the team taking part.”
A number of the Norwich Youth for Christ team will be taking part.
Nick said: “Would you like to join us? Or maybe someone else you know? You would be more than welcome! It would be brilliant to have a big bunch of us all raising money for this cause - the more the merrier!”
